Assembly a model
Design- and tool shop
The design of our tooling will be done with CAD – data of the original vehicle which we receive from the car manufacturer.
With this help it is possible to design and manufacture models which are exact in scale and very detailed like the original.
Even so, the Rietze models will have there own characteristic "handwriting".
The final results are hardened and finest polished tooling made from precision tool steel. These tooling are the basis for our models and at the same time the most expensive investment for each new model.
Design
The opposite illustration shows a typical design which each customer will receive with his order of his own model. He also receives a specification of the colours according NCS®, Pantone® or RAL® System. In general our design is based on the data of the original decoration and lettering as well as photos of the original vehicle.
There is almost no limitation in transferring the many details into the small model. After the design has been completed, the production can be started.
Injection mould of the plastic parts
For to mould of the body shell of the cars we are using first-grade ABS plastic material. For the windows we are using special type transparent plastic which also can be shaded. Because of this material selection it is possible to improve the finish by paint the surface, coating and pat printing. It also guarantees that there will be no deforming of the model. This will give our models a very professional touch.
Painting and pat printing
The next step is the mentioned improvement of the finish by painting, hot-metal-foil stamping, and numerous pat printings which sometimes come up to 85 prints per model. All paints we are using in our production will be mixed in our computerised paint mixer. We are able to paint with metallic-effect, pearl-effect and one-colour-paint.
Special details, such as car-number, destination plates –of cause in dot matrix- or the license plate, will change a standard model to a very exclusive one. On our miniature models you even will be able to read the TÜV-sticker on the license plate. These pat print decorations will give our models a perfect look.
The ability to make all these production steps in-house will allow us to realise a model in the shortest possible time, time frames of six to eight weeks after approval are realistic.
Assembling and finish
In our department for assembling, located in Zwickau/Sachsen. A major part of the production of the models is hand made and will end with an precise QC check. Interiors such as sears, tables or kitchen in different colours will be no problem. For city busses we offer various seat-configurations to our customers, like they will be on in the original busses. Single seating for buss models in scale 1:87 is our design and protected by utility patent.
Some times the original busses are decorated across the windows and the roof – even this we can realise on our models. Does your original bus have the steel flanges or wheel hubs chrome-plated or painted in the colour of bus? This would be no problem for us to do the same, details like this you do not need to miss on the miniature models.
